We are looking for foreigners in refugee status in Colombia who meet all the requirements mentioned below to occupy the position of Personal Care Assistant in the city of St. John´s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada to perform the following functions: Provide basic primary medical care to geriatric patients, such as food, cleaning and mobility support, among others. Company: The company is a long-term care geriatric home, family business and nationally accredited. For more than 25 years, families in the province have come to know the company for the quality of its services; In his philosophy, the resident and his family go first. Requirements: 1. Professional in nursing: we are looking for people with a university degree, with the purpose of supporting them to obtain the nursing license once they are in Canada. 2. Minimum 12 months of work experience in primary health care for patients (experience with physical work with patients, for example, bathing or feeding them. 3. Compassion and empathy are essential. 4. Languages: Intermediate English (CLB 4 or equivalent to IELTS). 5. Foreign nationals in Colombia who fulfill the Canadian government´s definition of a refugee. Individuals must also have current protection status obtained or in progress or; positive determination of refuge by the Colombian government or; a document showing that you are an asylum seeker in Colombia. 6. The candidate and his/her family must have the will to move from country to country. Conditions of the vacancy: 1. Type of contract: full-time. 2. Duration of the contract: permanent. 3. Working days and hours: 60-75 hours every two weeks; Day, evening, night or weekend shifts. 4. Salary per year: at least $21.01 CAD/hour equivalent to an approximate wage of $43,285 CAD. 5. Payment currency: Canadian dollars. 6. Country, province and city of work: Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador, St. John´s, 7. Additional benefits: medical, dental, vision care, life insurance. 8. Social security system offered: Canada offers various social security services to which permanent residents have access, for example, the public health system, public education or public employment insurance.
